Match Mania

Match Mania is the first coding project I ever built, and just happens to be my favorite project to date. The project is a basic matching game that allows two players to square off and see who can score the most points. Players go one at a time, first choosing a category, then clicking squares on the board to briefly uncover the underlying emojis. Points are awarded when a player uncovers two matching emojis. But watch out!! There are also bombs scattered around the board and uncovering a bomb will result in the player losing points. The concept is simple enough, but the result was a surprisingly fun little game that initially helped me form a solid grasp of JavaScript and other foundational web dev technologies like HTML & CSS.

Technologies Used:

  • JavaScript
